Adeline's 2nd b-day and Prom

Last weekend Adeline celebrated her 2nd Birthday!  Both grandparents came down to celebrate.  It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and evening.  She had a WONDERFUL time being spoiled by her grandparents at the same time!  Adeline got lots of princess gear from grandma and she was a princess during most of the evening.  Except when we went to go look at our new lot (more to come on that later) we had to take her outfit off so she could play in the mud... her other favorite thing.  I also took a few photos of the kids.  They look so sweet and innocent in many of the pictures.  believe me that is not always the case...  :)

we dug out of storage her "new to us" barbie car our neighbors had given to us before we moved.  She LOVES it.  she will yell barbie car over and over again during many of her nap times.

although she has not picked up on steering like Elias did.

this past saturday todd and i went to prom for the 3rd time... except this time it was to chaperon.  :)  here are a few pictures before we left.  and I finally got my first pregnancy #3 picture at 33 weeks.  It was fun.  One neat thing they did was have a grand march in the auditorium before prom.  Each of the couples had the opportunity to come out on the stage and show off there formal attire.  Parents and people from the community come to see this.  It was really fun to see all of the pretty dresses, which have really changed since i went 11 years ago.  Yet... even though i went to prom 11 years ago... anyone else find it odd tha over 75% of the music was the same as my prom.  interesting...

Crazy to think how much has changed over the 11 years since we last went to prom.  will this be our last family photo of 4?  hopefully we will sneak in another one at some point.
it is hard to believe i am already 33 weeks.  The realization of how soon this baby could join our famnily has finally come onto my radar.  Elias reminded me that Daddy, mommy, Elias, and adeline have all had birthdays.  I had told him a while back that after all of us had our birthday then would be the new baby's turn to have a birthday.  i also told him the baby would come when it got warmer outside.  Well, both of those things have happened.... so he thinks it should be soon....

Yesterday I scheduled for my parents to come down this saturday so we can go through the storage unit to get all of the baby stuff out.  We have been putting it off because our storage unit it so full of stuf that it will not be an easy task to go through everything.  :)  We are also trying to rearrange things in our house to make room for the things we will be bringing back. At the same time we are getting ready to sell lots of things in a garage sale at the end of may or june.

I keep forgeting to mention... but we have decided to build a house down the street from where we are renting.  We picked a house that will be perfect for our growing family, yet also simple.  We are very excited to stay near our neighbors.  They have just started clearing dirt to level the ground.  It should be done in 4-6 months.  Todd is really excited because he is planning to do several stages of the building process.  \

The three things I am most looking forward to are just the simple things....
1.) a dishwasher... it will be well over a year without one by the time we move!
2.)  a closet...long story, but i am sharing with elias
3.)  a garage
4.)  oh i guess 4 things.... a 4th bedroom so baby #3 will have there own room.

Spring Break and E's 4th Birthday

Elias celebrated his birthday a few weeks ago.  It is still hard to believe i have a 4 year old!  We had fun celebrating with just our family on his special day.  The highlights were getting several cars, making sundaes, and then going to a local circus.  Then a few days later we headed to Indy for Todd's SB.  He enjoyed a nice celebration with family.

adeline is always on the move.  this is my best shot in her PU cheerleading outfit.

adeline loves to play grandmas piano and sing.  I loved this picture because she would play and sing then stop and turn the pages to the music--just like grandma!
to make a long story short.  durng E's party possibly wind blew down power lines into grandma and grandpa's yard.  It was smoking, so grandma thought it would be the best addition to his b-day party to call 911 and get the the firetruck to come.   It was definitely fun and the kids enjoyed it.  Free entertainment.  The best part was that Elias had just opened several firetruck gifts.
The firemen were so nice and let the kids check everything out.

Elias with his new fire boots!  how funny!

grandma with adeline and chase.

We went to the children's musuem one day.  the kids loved it.  It was fun to see Adeline now that she is older and enjoying it more.  She especially loved running around and could careless where we were.  She had a blast!
Then right before we left we got to meet our new nephew and cousin.  Adeline was in heaven. Her boy doll is now named Henry.  She still talks about Cora and Henry daily.  Her love of babies is over the top!  I am so anxious to see how excited she will be about her new baby sibling--and that they will be living with us!  This could be interesting! ;)  Whenever we talk about it she gets the biggest smile on her face and points to my belly and says baby out!  Elias is also very excited.  He thinks he is getting another little sister.  I am leaning that way too.  But, we will see.  I can't wait to find out!  Our sweet adeline turns 2 on Sunday!  CRAZY how slow and fast those first years go by.  We are looking forward to a visit from the grandparents and celebrating!
