The need for Health Coaches in America has recently been making headline news and I wanted to share some of the link.
Dr. Oz- speaks on CNN about the need for health coaches in America
ABC NEWS -reports on health coaching - what it is and how it can help you? Dr. Phillips from Harvard
CBS NEWS-"Congress will miss the boat if it ends up perpetuating a system that reacts to illness rather than preventing it. Chronic diseases such as obesity, hypertension, and diabetes wreck our quality of life and cost a fortune. In recent years, a new and intriguing concept has emerged in the prevention and treatment of chronic illness: the health coach." CBS News link
NY TIMES- article on coaches
I also wanted to pass along my Health Coaching Website-Wholistic Wellness. Check it out sometime. :)

Cute and sweet as can be our little "Deere" just turned 3!
Last Friday was Elias's 3rd Birthday! We had a wonderful little party with family and a few of Elias's little buddies. We did a John Deere theme and Elias of course had a great time. Although he had a few meltdowns at the end because he didn't want to share his new toys he had just opened. Trying to get a 3 year old to understand sharing new toys is NOT easy!! Can you really blame him though!?! We had a wonderful evening celebrating his special day. What a blessing this little boy is!

February has come and gone....
Wow... is it really March? At the same time it couldn't come soon enough.... It finally seems like spring is actually right around the corner!!! I love this time of year. The kids birthdays are quickly approaching (can that really be possible?) which means warm weather is getting so close!!
Here are a few picutres of what has been going on in our household over the last few weeks....
Then there is Elias. He is working on PT. This picture cracked me up! He is now going a few times a day. HUGE improvement. We are getting there. :)

Here are a few picutres of what has been going on in our household over the last few weeks....
Adeline has gradually started eating solid foods and seems to be bypassing pureed food. It sure has saved me lots of money! :) She is still exclusively a breastfed baby. When I think about it I can't believe she has had nothing to drink besides good ole' BM and is almost 11 months old. When I think about it I am in such awe of how my body has given her everything she has needed to grow and develop. Not only for the 9 months in the womb, but for 9+ months outside of the womb. God is truly amazing! Some may call me crazy, but before she was born my goal was to give her only breastmilk for the first year. I can't believe I am nearly a month away from reaching it. It seems like such an easy goal now. Anyone that has BF can probably relate. In those first rough months you don't even know if you can make it to 3 months. A year? Are you crazy? Don't even mention that to a new mother. But, somehow with God's strength you can press through those rough months. Then it drastically gets easier as the days go by. I am thankful I pressed on. It is possible. It is not a burden. It is wonderful. I am beyond blessed!
