Black eye, helping dad, and my bear(s)

Here is an update of a few things Elias has been up to this past week. He also has grown a great intrest and LOVES to dance now! Whenever he hears music he starts clapping and dancing. I was wondering where he got this great talent and it must be from his friends Emily and Kennedy as they are great little dancers! :) Anyway, I have a video I will put on soon--it is so cute!

Last week while at Todd's softball game Elias had a tumble with a play lawnmower and got a black/bruised eye. Todd enjoyed calling him "bruiser" for a few days....

Elias carrying a piece of wood around in dads make shift summer woodworking shop (aka our garage) while he is building built ins for someone.

This is quite funny.... But as you know... Elias LOVES his "Bear". So, awhile back we bought an extra one in case something ever happened to the first one--as that would be tragic. Well, every once in a while he finds both of them and thinks it is GREAT!!! He cannot believe he has two of his best friend. He enjoys talking and swinging them around until one of us finds out he has them both. We take one away and he is heartbroken for awhile to loose one of his friends. I am not too sad as I know he will find them both again sometime probably soon.

Do I really have to give one up?!?

Florida Vacation--Part 2

We took a lot of pictures and wanted to share a few more with you. Once again we had a great trip and it was fun to see Elias experiencing some new things. Including weather temperatures in the mid 90's!
We stayed in a condo owned by Trishas aunt and uncle. Thanks Diane and Lin! The condo is located in port Charlotte, which is just a short drive from Grandma Neldas and beach access. We are very blessed to have a nice place available to us for little get aways. Enjoy the pictures.

Boo!

This picture was taken on a bridge overlooking the Peace River. Needless to say we decided to keep Elias strapped in to his stroller for this one.

Sometimes a kids favorite toys are the ones that are free. Elias wants to share with you one of the many rocks he played with on our trip.

Trisha, Elias and Great Grandma Nelda.

Elias and I taking a break from the hot sun on a park bench.

One of the highlights of the trip for Elias was the petting zoo. He laughed and laughed at the animals and thought they were great.

Weekend..

On Saturday I went to the Rascal Flats concert at Verizon with some friends. It was such a wonderful night and we had a great time. I unfortunetly didn't take any pictures during the concert, but here are a before and after of Allie and I.

It was a great concert, but where is our car?!?

Then yesterday for Father's Day Todd chose to go downtown for a picnic and walk around the Canal. Elias enjoyed walking around--although we did have a few close calls that he might be swimming in the canal! :) Elias had no clue it was father's day, but I will say for him that he is very blessed to have Todd as a father. I am excited to watch Elias get older to understand and realize just how truly blessed he is to have him as a dad!

Like father....like son... so precious....

Elias loved smiling and talking to everybody that we walked by...

Family photo----Elias is trying to get away. Pictures are getting harder and harder to take of him these days.

Florida Vacation--Part 1

We had a great time in Florida this past week. We were so thankful that Elias did amazingly well on the flights and loved traveling! Here are some pictures from the week. Since we as usual took so many pictures I will have to post more later this week. Elias is walking really well now and LOVED walking at all the places we went. He also really enjoyed the pool and was somewhat scared of the ocean, going to a nature park and petting zoo, going to local playgrounds, visiting with great grandma, and hanging out at the condo. We are also proud to announce that our white little Elias didn't get burnt! Enjoy!

Elias Walking

Here is a video of Elias walking. Over the last several days he has been really starting to take off. It is so different to look up and have him walking across the room or standing in the middle of the kitchen with a huge smile on his face when I turn the corner. Even though he is gettig better we still have to stay close by as he still has frequent falls. For some reason when stopping to get down he doesn't always go to the sitting position and instead just falls straight back onto his back and head---ouch!! It is so fun to see how excited and proud he is to be doing this. We have enjoyed daddy being home this week and and are so excited to head to Florida! Hopefully Elias will do well on the flight.
