Goodbye Tunde...

When Tunde arrived in July she was set to sell elephant ears at carnivals this summer. She was going to get very little pay and work 14+ hours a day. By the amazing work of God and kind people at E-91, Tunde was able to be an intern this summer with me in the Children's Ministry instead. When she walked into my office for the first first I never imagined how close we would become over the next few months. After many memories and time spend together Tunde is sadly headed back to Romania this weekend. Before she left we had to make a trip to Starbucks, so she could get her last fix of a Carmel Frappacino. Tunde, you have been an amazing friend and you have taught me so much that I will never forget!!! Like you said, it is hard to say goodbye, but it is only until we meet again.

The Wood has finally arrived and Baby Hitch update

After a long wait...the wood that will hold our house together has finally arrived. We took this picture last night and they had already chalked off the walls on the foundation. With that said, the first floor should be up by the end of the day today. So, stay tuned for more pictures.

Baby Hitch Update: Trisha had her 12 week appointment today and things are progressing very well. This is a milestone as we are almost through the first trimester! We were able to hear the heartbeat again, which is always a miracle. Now Trisha will be going to the doctor every month and in 8 weeks we will be able to find out the sex of the baby! (Yes, we plan to find out.)

Bye, Bye, Shelby???

This past week we decided to get rid of our little baby shelby (our 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier.) We had decided with all of the change of moving, having a baby, and her extreme energy and need for attention we thought it would be the best idea. We put her on Petfinder.com and had someone that was going to pick her up on Saturday. The family seemed great...The mom was previously a Vet's assistant and a stay at home mom. At the same time we couldn't bare the thought of getting rid of her when we had her since she was only 6 weeks old. The time was ticking away for her new family to come pick her up and we were devestated....After much thought and discussion on Friday night we backed out and decided to keep her. HAHA!! I guess we were just all talk and couldn't actually go through with it. So, far we are very glad....so hopefully we made the right decision. Anyway....Shelby is currently on strict training and discipine, so hopefuly it will make a big difference. The funny thing is that Shelby has no idea how close she was to leaving our family.

New Update on Our House

Here are some pictures of the slab they poured at our house this past week. When the slab is poured the house should be finished in 90 days--Let the countdown begin! They should start framing next week and it will actually start to look like a house.

Everything else is going well. Todd is coaching 8th grade football. They had the Jamboree game this past week and they are looking good. Trisha is doing well and is so far having an easy pregnancy. Last night Trisha was craving ice cream, so we made a fun date night out of it. We picked up ice cream and a movie and spent the evening eating ice cream and watching Memiors of a Geisha. Which by the way is really good movie!
