Year in review

Looking back at 2005 it is exciting to see how the Lord is working in both Trisha and I's lives. We both feel that we have been blessed tremendously. We are so excited about our new church home. It was a hard transition to make, leaving our old friends to start over at a new church, but Trisha just finished her first year on the job, and we both love our new Sunday school class. We have made several close friends by being involved in small groups and participating in church events.
My job is going extremely well and as I start the second semester I am starting to get in a routine that I feel very comfortable with. I really enjoy teaching and at this point cannot imagine doing anything else. The things I like most about it is that it keeps me on my toes, there is never a dull moment, and it really is a lot of fun. When I decided to take the job at Doe Creek I knew that coaching might be in my future, and I was excited to take the opportunity to coach basketball when it was placed before me. Although it has been a rough season as far as win totals go, I am proud to say that we beat Mt. Vernon (arch rival) which makes it all worth while. I really have enjoyed coaching and as our season winds down I am already looking forward to next years team. Also this Spring I will be coaching baseball which will present a whole new set of challenges. I am looking forward to this opportunity as well.
I am so excited about what the Lord has in store for me this year. I sometimes wonder how it is possible for Trisha and I to be any more blessed, but then something else great happens. I look forward to improving as a husband, teacher, and most of all a christian.

Aren't you excited that the colts begin their road to the Super Bowl this Sunday!!!???? Todd and I sure are!!

Todd, his principal, and a few other teachers have been working hard this week to make a HUGE Horshoe to put on the roof of Doe Creek Middle School--(where Todd teaches) Here are some pictures of them contructing the massive thing and then the final masterpiece. If you live nearby you should drive by sometime at night---There are over 100 blue and white lights!!

Also, at work I had to make a entry on who would be the two teams in the superbowl, who would win and the score. Here are my precitions (with the help of Todd)

Superbowl: Seahawks and Colts
Winner: The Indianapolis Colts (of course)
Score: Colts 37 Seahawks 21

Here are some pictures of my dear friend Natalie's two children Braylon and Nya. I visited weekly with Natalie and Braylon for a year when I worked at Healthy Families.

I loved my job at Healthy Families and there have been many times that I missed that job and visiting my clients. I have gotten sad thinking about where my clients are at and what they were doing. God is so good because a few months ago Natalie and I ran into each other at Wal Mart and were reconnected. I hadn't seen her for a year!! It has been such a blessing to hang out with them and welcome thier new bundle of joy---

Orlando with Todd's Fam

Thanks Donna and Marvin for a wonderful vacation...we feel extremely blessed to have you as parents and truly enjoyed being spoiled everyday!! :)

We left on Friday, December 30th and returned on Tuesday January 4th. We stayed at the Hard Rock Resort, ate wonderful food at every meal, consumed ice cream every night, layed out at the pool, and went to Universal and Islands of Adventure Parks. It was a a lot of fun!! We were also blessed with amazing weather--Sunny and 80's everyday.

We were at Universal for the big New Years. We got to jam and dance the night away--Todd needs to work on his moves though..haha....then at midnight we saw a wonderful firework show!

The week before thanksgiving Kristen and I went on a fun road trip to Peoria, IL. We are able to visit with Erin, Cam, and Caroline. It was a true blessing to spend time with old freinds from IWU and of course see the adorable Caroline.
